FOIL
This foil is similar to other more consumer focused foil shavers on the market. It operated similar to a foil shaver but this is able to cut down longer hairs while the foils take it down even further.
If hair is longer than 1/32“ (0.8mm), begin by cutting the hair down
first with a trimmer, then use shaver for a smooth, close shave.
WATER RESISTANCE & WET SHAVING
The FX75FS2 has an IPX7 rating. This means it can be used in the shower and submerged for up to 30 minutes in shallow water.
Note: Submerging is not recommended for long term performance
IPX7 RATING
An IPX7 rating means that a device can withstand being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes without being permanently damaged. The IPX rating system is a classification system that indicates how well a device is sealed against water.
Do not exceed this specification.
Practical Implications:
IPX7-rated devices can handle accidental submersion in water, such as if dropped in a pool or splashed with water.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING ALL FOIL SHAVERS:
In general foil shavers do NOT work perfectly well for all customers, all types of hair/skin and under all conditions. The following is a summary of points to help optimize the performance and results when using a foil shaver to shave the head, face and neck.
Please keep in mind that foil shavers (either double foil or single foil shavers) are not intended to shave hairs that have very fine curls or that are medium or long length. Such hairs will simply be pressed down flat against the skin by the foil shaver and will not enter the foil holes to be properly cut. Foil shavers work best on very short, DRY, straight stubble hair or freshly trimmed hair by a hair trimmer, because such stubble hair "sticks up" straight and naturally enters the foil holes as intended.
Here are some helpful tips to reduce sensitivity and to optimize results when using an electric foil shaver:
Preparation
• Clean, cool and DRY Skin: Electric foil shavers work best on cool dry skin. Wash your face with warm water to remove oils and dirt, then pat dry. If the skin is humid, sweaty or too warm, then the skin will tend to stick to the foil and the hair will not cleanly enter the foil holes. This often leads to irritated skin as it rubs against the foil.
• Very Short & Straight Stubble: Electric foil shavers work best on short stubble hair that sticks up straight so that it can easily enter the holes of the foil. Foil shavers to not work well on fine curled hair or hair that is too long and is pushed flat against the skin.
• Pre-Shave Lotion or Powder: Some people use a pre-shave lotion or powder specifically for electric shavers, which helps reduce friction, allowing for a smoother glide and less irritation. (We do not sell these at this time)
Shaving Technique
• Go Against the Grain: Foil shavers are designed to capture hair better when moving against the grain, so use short, straight strokes against the direction of hair growth.
• Apply Gentle Pressure: Light pressure is key. Pressing too hard can cause irritation and dull the blades more quickly. Let the shaver do the work.
• Stretch the Skin: Use your free hand to gently stretch the skin in the area you're shaving. This helps lift the hair and allows for a closer shave.

Aftercare
• Rinse and Moisturize: Rinse your face with cool water to close the pores and apply a gentle, alcohol-free moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and reduce post-shave irritation.
